Statement of Attainment towards CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry and Statement of Attainment towards CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways

  • 240 Hours
  • Two Units over Two years
  • Plus 60 Hours over One Year with One Unit
  • 144 days as part of the school-based apprenticeship

This is a trade qualification for carpenters in residential and commercial workplaces. It includes setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made using timber and non-timber materials. This course can only be accessed by school-based apprentices. They complete the first year of their apprenticeship at school, then they transfer their enrolment to TAFE post-school.


HSC INFORMATION
This is a Board Developed Course. Students who complete the 240-hour course may sit for the optional HSC exam, and their marks may contribute to the calculation of their ATAR.


UNITS
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 34 units of competency:

  • 27 core units; plus
  • 7 elective units.

  • CPCCCA3002 Carry out setting out
  • CPCCCA3028 Erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on the ground
  • CPCCSF2004 Place and fix reinforcement materials
  • CPCCCO2013 Carry out concreting to simple forms
  • CPCCCA3003 Install flooring systems
  • CPCCOM1014 Conduct workplace communication 
  • CPCCCA3025 Read and interpret plans, specifications and drawings for carpentry work
  • CPCCCM2006 Apply basic levelling procedures 
  • CPCCOM3006 Carry out levelling operations
