VET opens doors and provides students with real skills for real careers

Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

SCS RTO provides outstanding learning opportunities in a faith-filled, inclusive environment, supporting the development of the whole person – intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Rooted in Catholic values and social teaching, our VET programs recognise the dignity of work, promote service to others, and prepare students to make meaningful contributions to society.

As an RTO, SCS delivers nationally recognised qualifications from Certificate I to Certificate III. These qualifications provide dual accreditation, contributing to both the Record of School Achievement (RoSA) and the Higher School Certificate (HSC).

Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are accessible to students in Years 9 to 12 across all of our secondary schools. As leaders in VET, our mission continues to focus on enabling and supporting our students to achieve a purposeful and fulfilling life, contribute positively to the common good, and lay strong foundations for lifelong learning and personal growth.

Our VET courses enable students to:

  • kickstart their career
  • explore industry areas and job roles
  • develop their employability and foundation skills
  • develop technical skills and knowledge
  • gain a greater understanding of the pathway they wish to pursue.

VET courses may be accessed:

  • at school
  • through one of our Training Centres; or
  • via EVET, through one of our external providers such as TAFE NSW.

Students across SCS also have the opportunity to participate in a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship, helping them find and pursue their vocational calling in a real-world context.
With diversity and equity as our priorities, our system and RTO ensure exemplary delivery and inclusive access across all delivery sites for all students.

So why wait? Take the first step towards your dream career today and explore our vocational education courses at Sydney Catholic Schools.
