This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform various servicing tasks in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. This course can only be accessed by school-based trainees.


HSC INFORMATION
This is a Board Developed Course. Students who complete the 240-hour course may sit for the optional HSC exam, and their marks may contribute to the calculation of their ATAR.


UNITS
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 20 units of competency:

  • 13 core units; plus
  • 7 elective units.

  • AURETK001 Identify, select and use low-voltage electrical test equipment
  • AURETR103  Identify automotive electrical systems and components
  • AURETR006 Solder electrical wiring and circuits
  • AURETR115  Inspect, test and service batteries
