In this course, students will gain skills in routine hairdressing tasks, such as making appointments, greeting and preparing clients for salon services, shampooing and drying hair to shape, working safely, undertaking general housekeeping and cleaning duties, and conducting salon financial transactions. This course is a pre-vocational preparatory course designed to help give students the practical skills and experience required to work as a Salon Assistant.


HSC INFORMATION
This is a Board Endorsed Course and therefore has no HSC examination.


UNITS
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 12 units of competency:

  • 8 core units; plus
  • 4 elective units.
