This course offers a practical pathway into a rewarding career as an assistant in nursing.

This qualification reflects the role of a variety of workers who use a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge to provide assistance to health professional staff for the care of clients. Health services assistance involves the worker in direct client contact under supervision.


HSC INFORMATION
This is a Board Developed Course. Students who complete the 240-hour course may sit for the optional HSC exam, and their marks may contribute to the calculation of their ATAR.


UNITS
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 15 units of competency:

  • 7 core units; plus
  • 8 elective units.
